Claire Elise Boucher (/bu:'SeI/ boo-SHAY born on March 17, 1988), known professionally as Grimes is a Canadian performer, singer music producer, and songwriter. Initial work can be called "lo-fi R&B to futuristic dance-pop",[4that draws inspiration from hip-hop, electronic and rock. She often uses science fiction as well as feminist themes in her songs. Five studio albums were made available by the group. Grimes is a native of Vancouver before moving to Montreal. Her first solo career in the late decade. In 2010, she released two albums through Arbutus Records, Geidi Primes (and Halfaxa), respectively. After contracting with 4AD and gaining the charts by releasing Visions the band's third studio album. Visions contains the singles "Genesis", and "Oblivion" and won she an award called the Juno Award in Canada for Electronic Album of the year. The fourth album of her studio Art Angels was released in 2015. It received high praise from the press and critics, while many newspapers voted for it to be the best album of the year. In 2020, she released Miss Anthropocene (her fifth studio album). Grimes as well as an actor and judge on Alter Ego's musical competitions performed as a vocalist in Cyberpunk 2077 which was released in the year 2020.
